Re: slavs press conference
Bilic like all our managers has had to budget himself strictly by having a low budget to fill a squad that's never been properly invested into.

That's where West Ham managers except turd polishing in order to stretch the shitty budget they are given and they then in turn do the stupid route of square pegs in round holes.

It's a regular occurrence with our managers and the route cause is bad/limited resources.

Thing is where these are cunts they say they are great businessmen but don't speculate in new and better product to keep their customer base happy and they've changed the whole brands look.

"I think the board don't want to sack him because of the financial impact on releasing him and then hiring somebody else. They prefer to stay as is becuase they currently believe he will keep us in the prem and therefore they can maintain their profitability"

I think that sums up the 2 bob cunts perfectly. Boards sack their managers all the time, not saying that's good in itself but you don't hear about them not doing it because of the cost involved.

They would rather us be mediocre for another season and risk our best players wanting to leave (more money in), than spend a bit now fixing the mess they created.

Re: slavs press conference
What other players?

As there are so many you'll be able to name shall we say 3 others?

You can't have Snodgrass as its been proven he played in his preferred position a fair bit.

Re: slavs press conference
He was very enthusiastic about this being Antonios role in interviews at that time. Clearly the player thought different as did most of the fans. I didn't hear anybody on the board saying the same thing and forcing his hand.
He has fallen out with so many players because he either doesn't play them or plays them in positions they are not comfortable with.

If all these players are being bought for him and don't suit his 'system' (if anyone can work out what that is) then his job is difficult but not impossible. He has openly admitted he wanted many of these players though and they were his targets.

Re: slavs press conference
Of course bilic, when we were faced with no available right backs, could have chosen to play kouyate there (as we now know he thinks he can do a job there) or of course could have switched to 3 (or 5) at the back. But he chose to pursue the antonio option. So I'd say on balance he probably genuinely thought antonio was genuinely right back material.

Re: slavs press conference
Getting bogged down with individual cases.
Slav's selections are frequently baffling, often uninspiring and generally fucking crap.
We can all see our lack of width, yet he persists with CM's covering everything.
Hernandez is NOT a one up front player, yet that's what he's doing.
The flat four doesn't work, yet we keep playing it.
We have seen and commented on plenty of issues with the squad over the years and he has done little or nothing about it. Square pegs, round holes.
He's got to go.
A win against Huddersfield will not cover up the cock ups, tedium and general incompetence of over a bloody year.
The board are just too cheap to spend on his sacking.

Is that because he wanted to do it, or because he was just talking something up he felt he had no choice but do?

He said it in the press at the time that he saw Antonio could be as good as Valencia at RB.

I even found a quote here http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/702460/West-Ham-news-Slaven-Bilic-Andy-Carroll-injury-Michail-Antonio-latest

How do you know that was a deliberate attempt by Bilic, FCJ?

Full Claret Jacket 2:35 Sat Sep 9
Re: slavs press conference
Bilic did not want to buy a right back, he wanted Antonio to learn to play the role like Valencia at Man Utd. Antonio didn't want to be a defender and didn't join the club to be a defender.
When someone is as effective going forward as he was on the wing (when he finally did get given a chance to play) then why would you even contemplate messing with his position.

FWIW I think Byram is also a decent Right back and will become a useful first teamer if he is happy to develop in the shadow of a senior player the next couple of seasons.

Re: slavs press conference
Loads of differing views on who's fault it is etc etc but in my view it's a simple situation about responsibility and accountability.

Billic is responsible for the team's performance and it's dire, there's no two ways about it.

The board is accountable for the clubs performance financially and if they feel they are happy with Billic because he matches their expectations he'll be kept on. When they're not he'll be sacked.

If Billic is not happy with the way the board manage him i.e. how he can or can't make the team function, then he should quit.

I think the board don't want to sack him because of the financial impact on releasing him and then hiring somebody else. They prefer to stay as is becuase they currently believe he will keep us in the prem and therefore they can maintain their profitability

Only when that status is in danger will they act.

If we had a board who aspirations for the club was Champions league football then he'd have gone long ago, but we haven't, they are satisfied with prem status because it's fits their objectives financially.

It doesn't matter what we the fans think, what the media thinks, the players (& they don't really care other than Noble because he's a local lad), or what Billic thinks, the only thing that matters is what the board want and currently they are getting it and I think they feel they'll sustain it over time with Billic.

It's stalemate until one of them changes their objectives - Billic walks or the board fire him because the prem is under threat.

It's the same in any business anywhere..

See Jaan this is where you are being thick, take the Antonio thing that irked me loads from Bilic.

If the owners had just invested in a top right back (after not doing so for at least 2 seasons could be more the way it's going as Man City got rid for a reason) would he have put Antonio anywhere near that position?

You think people would be calling for protests about that if we were successful on the pitch, like in Bilic's first season?

Don't act like anyone gave a fuck about Grant and Allardyce either, as most wanted the two fat cunts gone anyway.

And to prove my point...

Righto.

aaaahhh, club spokesman Jaan who posted a line from Bilic where he said that if more players were moved on, gaps would need to be filled yet fucking no one came in before the deadline. watching the Bilic press conference he basically says the same thing again without completely throwing the dwarves under the bus. I'm not sure how any manager can work for them, but I truly hope bilic doesnt resign. hang in there slaven and make the fuckers pay you off if necessary

Eventually all our managers have been sacked for trying to polish a turd by doing fucking stupid things or in the main not being able to make crap players play above themselves.
